  7. HyperSTAR is a family of client and server products providing interpretability
  8. between hundreds of shrink wrapped packages and relational and non-relational
  9. databases.

  11. HyperSTAR bridges the gap between UNIX servers and Windows and UNIX clients.
  12. Any Microsoft Windows application that is DDE or DLL compatible or any UNIX
  13. application capable of calling C routines can now transparently access data in
  14. many databases.  Clients can access multiple databases simultaneously and
  15. access servers either locally or over TCP/IP or asynchronous connections.

  17. HyperSTAR client products have multiple interfaces.  In Windows, there are
  18. interfaces for DDE, C, and C++ developers.  There is also STAR/View, a point
  19. and click product for query development and ad-hoc query and update.  From
  20. STAR/View, users can access multiple databases simultaneously and even use
  21. data from one database to access information in other databases.  In UNIX,
  22. there are interfaces for C and C++ developers.
